Hi, I’m Mike.
I was born and raised in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and went to college at the University of Tampa, where I earned my BS and MS in Finance. Over the recent years, I’ve gained exposure to the wide array of functions within financial services, namely public accounting, large full-service brokerage, hedge funds and alternative investments. These days, I am in sales & trading at a multinational investment bank.
Like many of you, I have an innate passion for the mechanics of financial markets and how they dictate our everyday lives. Since I began investing, I’ve learned (mainly through my own mistakes) the “who”, “what”, “when”, "where", “why” and “how” behind every trade. My understanding of the industry progressed during my formal education, and I have fully embraced its dynamic nature through critical professional experiences.
My mission is to share these experiences with you. I’m here to provide an environment where readers can inspire one another through educational and motivational insights with the purpose of not only promoting solid financial acumen, but to lead a more fulfilling life. This page is my way of cultivating that mission, and my only hope is that you have fun and learn something new each time you visit.
In my free time, other than reading and spending time with friends, you can find me at the gym, running in Central Park or playing basketball at your neighborhood court – I love to get outside and play sports. Some other things about me you may find interesting: I'm a huge fan of the Olympics, and I geek out over contemporary home design, automotive engineering, advancements in human performance technologies, and picking up new skills such as playing the piano and learning foreign language.
